Design Concepts in Drama

I put this short booklet together a few years ago to help pupils understand some of the key ideas in the design process.

In terms of the Drama work we do, pupils spend a lot of time devising, rehearsing and performing – but they have always been expected to add to their performances by using any or all of these where appropriate:

  • SET

This booklet tries to squeeze in as many terms as possible, but as ever isn’t exhaustive or definitive.

I’m currently passing it to my S3 students (age 14/15) who will be going on to study Drama at National 5 level here in Scotland.
