Sure, I should be spending the summer writing the book I have planned for a decade. I have written huge sections of it, and have it plotted in some detail, but currently lack the discipline to wrestle the devil to the floor and pin it down.
I sneakily suspect it would make a better screenplay or the script for a graphic novel series, but I dont have the skills in that sector (yet).
Until then, I have challenged myself to get some reading done this summer. Difficult when your young son runs on full batteries all day and won’t sleep till late.
So, here are my reads – in no particular order.
I read The Handmaid’s Tale 20 years ago – but I think it’s time to revisit.
Will I get through them all? Will I read any of them?
